I have never been so happy to see the smiling, welcoming face of my friend, Jody. All the stress of the last few hours evaporated.
Jody had rented a room at the Holiday Inn where we would spend the night and take the bus to Bariloche the next afternoon. It was wonderful, the sun was shining and the town and harbor charming. The first thing I noticed was I was several inches in height above all of the population.
Here are some photos of PuertoMontt ———
This bird sat on our balcony of our hotel room. It was huge!
JUST WHAT WE NEEDED! A PISCO SOUR
JODY TOOK ME TO ONE OF THEIR FAVORITE RESTAURANTS AND WE HAD A DELICIOUS SALMON DINNER. IN ADDITION, I HAD TO TRY ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR ITEMS ON THE MENU —- THE WEINER ——YES – FIXED MANY DIFFERENT WAYS BUT I CHOSE ONE ON A BUN WITH TOMATOES, AVOCADO, AND MAYO SPREAD GENEROUSLY OVER ALL. IT WAS TOTALLY YUMMY!
IN ADDITION, THE SALAD WAS A MEAL IN ITSELF AS YOU CAN SEE.
Took a walk-around the mall and took a few photos

The next morning we strolled around town —
